LED lamps
Led lamps are a fantastic new concept in lighting! They are extremely long life - often in excess of of 50,000 hours! and their power consuption is very low, usually between 1 - 3 watts! They can often retro-fit halogen lamps and are cool running. We offer all types of colours and even a remote controlled one! Also disposing of these lamps is much greener than the CFL's (Compact flourescent Lamps). Definately the future of all our lighting!
  Halogen Lamps
Halogen Lamps
Tungsten halogen lamps are widely used and provide a quality crisp light. They are available in both mains 240 volt and low votage (12volt) They are used in outside lighting, like floodlights, and garden spots. Also indoors in downlights or attractive wall, ceiling, table and floor lamps. why not consider more enviromentally friendly options with CFL's (Compact flourescent lamps) or LED lamps! Please contact us to discuss.
  Philips Branded Lamps
Philips Branded Lamps
We stock thousands of philips lamps! Mostly the halogen type.
Low Energy Lamps-CFL's (Compact Flourescent Lamps)
Low Energy Lamps-CFL's (Compact Flourescent Lamps)
Low energy lamps save money! They use 20% of the power of normal lamps, ie an 11w energy saver is equivalent to approx 55-60w light output! You image having ten lights at 60w = 600w of electricity, now use 11w CFL's and your energy usage is only 110 Watts! - Reduce your carbon footprint!!!
Now they are much more attractive in design and are available in different types of white :- warm white (2700k) which is a warmer more yellow type of white, popular in the home or garden., coolwhite (4000k) a cooler whiter light, which is brighter and popular for office, displays, or just if you prefer it!, and then there's daylight (6400k) a bluey white, which has the greatest output, closest to natural daylight, and is ideal for performing tasks, like sewing, art, clerical duties and so on. Scandinavian countries use a similar type of light to help treat S.A.D. (people that suffer from too little daylight) Daylight lamps are relatively new on the market, and sales are quickly growing!
You can save time by not having to change bulbs as often! Low energy lamps usually last between 8 and 10,000 hours!! which is 8 to 10 times longer than normal tungsten GLS lamps.
