Transformers 12v
All our units carry a 5yr guarantee.
Transformers convert the mains voltage (240v) to a low voltage (mostly 12v).
They are rated for a certain output wattage which mustn't be exceeded. For example a 60va transformer can power 60 watts. 3x 20w 12v halogen lamps or 1x 50w halogen lamp. You need to use you maths to work it out!
Another example, a 105va transformer can run 5x 20w lamps, 3x 35w lamps or 2x 50w lamps. If you are simply replacing a transformer that has stopped working, you will probably be able to change it for the same output type, which should be shown on the casing. Please check that the lamps it powers does not exceed this. We recommend you use a qualified electrician to perform electrical work. Please contact us if you have any questions.
